The worst cage in the world is the human mind. We are often held captive in our own heads, and we tend to believe everything we think. It’s all about how we react to the things happening around us.
I know we can’t entirely control our thoughts, but I’ve learned that we can control our actions. Our thought process is like a bubble, and anything outside that bubble becomes hard to process.
A lot of things started to make sense to me when I tried to break out of that bubble. The day I looked beyond a particular situation, I realised that I had wasted so many days and shed so many tears over something that didn’t deserve it.
Someone I admire once told me that maturity begins when you learn to break out of your small thought circle. Things aren’t always what you think they are. It’s like living in a cage, not knowing anything beyond it, so it’s important to learn how to step out of it sometimes.
I know it’s hard to leave your comfort zone, but if you don’t, you might never find the answers you’ve been searching for. Start looking beyond what you see, and soon it will all begin to make sense.
Everything, or at least most things, has meaning, but not all of us see it because our minds are programmed to think in a certain way. Many conflicts start because one person fails to see things from another person’s point of view.
We are all different, and in the same way, each one of us has a different thought process. It’s important to step out of it sometimes to seek deeper meaning. You can’t change your mindset in one day, but you can start somewhere, because if you don’t start now, you’ll keep putting it off.
Looking from another angle can help you understand things better. When the time comes, you may be forced to accept certain things. That’s why I’m trying to train my mind to look beyond the surface, because I don’t want to just accept things blindly. I want to understand.
I want to be an understanding person, and that’s why I’m trying to break out of my cage. Take a minute to think, and you might find a reason to break out of yours too.
