After a much-needed break, I finally felt like writing again, especially with 2020 coming to an end. I really wanted to post something before the year ends.
I want to talk about a hard topic to think about — moving on. No one likes moving on, especially when you have to let go of something that meant a lot to you. In some situations, moving on is the only solution because it is a dead end and there are not many choices. In other situations, it is crucial to move on in order to protect your mental peace and carry on with your life.
I know how it feels to get very attached to something and then have to move on. But not moving on can lead to bad decisions that ruin good things. It is never really the end. There is always another day. To anyone struggling to move on, just remember that a new year is about to begin and you can always start fresh.
Sometimes, when you feel like you cannot move on, it is better to carry on with your life even though a part of you is not ready. Eventually, you will be. When we are in a vulnerable state, we tend to make bad choices and act impulsively, often listening to the wrong people. But all of that is part of finding your way back to reality.
I do not know exactly what moving on completely means, but I just want to say that the process of moving on is hard and long. It is also a journey worth taking. Holding on to something that has no future is okay for a while, as long as you do not let it affect the rest of your life.
To me, this year was quite interesting. I met new people who changed my year. I also lost a few. But most importantly, I learned a lot.
I want to end this post by saying thank you to everyone who reads what I write. It truly means a lot to me.
